March 2022 Update from Dr. Jensen

March 3, 2022

COVID Improvements, Insurance Updates, New State Licensing, Advanced Nutrient Therapy for Mental Health, the Coimbra Protocol, and New Patient Information

Hi from Dr. Jensen,

Things on the pandemic front are improving markedly as we move from pandemic to endemic COVID.

However, I am still seeing some COVID cases. Note that ivermectin and HCQ are now both included on the treatment protocol from the FLCCC, see https://covid19criticalcare.com/covid-19-protocols/i-mask-plus-protocol/. Also, for anyone with persistent symptoms post COVID or post COVID vaccine, we can help address these issues. We have used low dose naltrexone (LDN) with success in the i-RECOVER protocol from the FLCCC. Feel free to refer anyone you know who may be in need of such care. Of course, be aware, this has not yet been evaluated or approved for treatment by the FDA.

I am also pleased to announce that I am now licensed to provide care in the following states: AL, AZ, CA, CO, GA, ID, IA, IL, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MS, MT, ND, NH, NV,  NE, OH, OK, PA, SD, TN,  UT, VT, WA, WI,  WV, WY. I know that many of you hoped to refer friends or family living in these states to our practice. They would now be able to receive care. Feel free to send them to our website for updated information on becoming a new patient: https://jensenfamilywellness.comnewpatients/

We now accept most insurances and traditional medicare except Humana. These are mostly PPO health insurance plans (Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, etc.). We also take MercyCare in AZ.

Some other things I am happy to be doing more of now that COVID volume has decreased:

For those seeking to improve mental health or mood issues, we provide genetic phenotypic lab analysis per Dr. Walsh at the Walsh Institute to develop an individualized advanced nutrient therapy treatment plan aimed at normalizing brain chemistry. A major advantage of advanced nutrient therapy is the avoidance of the serious side effects associated with psychiatric medications. This is a great option especially if your long-term goal is the eventual elimination or reduction of medications, and advanced nutrient therapy can be used together with both medication and counseling to optimize your mental health treatment plan. You can be on or off medication for the testing and still get a benefit! See https://www.walshinstitute.org/advanced-nutrient-therapy.html for more information.

For those suffering from autoimmune issues (multiple sclerosis or other diseases) I am trained in the Coimbra Protocol, an orthomolecular therapy which uses therapeutic doses of vitamin D to help the body address these issues. Read more at  https://www.coimbraprotocol.com/the-protocol-1

Also, for anyone who is looking for a complementary medicine approach (i.e. nutritional, herbal, etc.) to a particular health issue or would simply want an overall wellness checkup, I can provide care and input. I was trained in integrative medicine by Dr. Andy Weil and colleagues and am also board certified in integrative medicine from the ABIM/ABPS. I am also a trained and certified practitioner through the Institute for Functional Medicine.

Hope you are all staying well.

Dr. J
