Scott M. Jensen, MD is an expert practitioner of integrative medical care of nearly two decades. Licensed in all 50 states, he guides patients through personalized, evidence-based approaches to holistic wellness, complementary to primary care.

He is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine and a certified practitioner through the Institute for Functional Medicine. As a board-certified Family Physician, Dr. Jensen is also a member of the American Medical Association and American Academy of Family Physicians.

In addition, Dr. Jensen has obtained diplomate certification from the American Board of Integrative Medicine, a specialty certification offered by the American Board of Physician Specialties. Dr. Jensen is a member of the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine and is Arizona’s first MD to be certified as a GAPS (Gut and Psychology Syndrome) Practitioner.

He completed a 2-year fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the U of A Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine, which has achieved international recognition as the leading integrative medical education program in the world. He has also been trained in Brazil by Cicero Coimbra, MD PhD himself in the Coimbra Protocol, a revolutionary vitamin D therapy used to treat MS and other diseases.

After completing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a double minor in Chemistry and Philosophy at Brigham Young University, Scott went on to attend the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he obtained his M.D.

He served a residency with Scottsdale Healthcare Family Practice, and then entered active duty as a physician in the US Air Force, stationed in Los Angeles, CA and then deployed in Iraq. Upon completion of his military tour in 2006, Dr. Jensen and his young family returned to Arizona and opened the doors of his medical practice Jensen Family Medicine within a year, which became a thriving primary care practice. 

After 13 years leading his team of skilled providers and serving countless patients, Dr. Jensen made the innovative shift to offer exclusive telemedical care and dedicate himself more fully to functional medicine, which became Jensen Family Wellness. 

Dr. Jensen now resides in the rugged White Mountains of Arizona, where he lives with his wife and seven dynamic children on their farm. Outside of medicine, he is an avid reader, scholar of Biblical Hebrew and ancient scripture, appreciator of the arts, sports fan, and finance & economics junkie.
