Dr. Scott Milton Jensen, MD is part of an emerging “whole body” approach to healthcare known as Integrative Medicine. This rounded approach allows Dr. Jensen to provide evidence-based integrative medical consulting for entire families.
Dr. Jensen is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine and a certified practitioner through the Institute for Functional Medicine. As a board-certified Family Physician, Dr. Jensen is also a member of the American Medical Association and American Association of Family Physicians.
In addition, Dr. Jensen has obtained diplomate certification from the American Board of Integrative Medicine, a specialty certification offered by the American Board of Physician Specialties. Dr. Jensen is a member of the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine and is Arizona’s first MD to be certified as a GAPS (Gut and Psychology Syndrome) Practitioner.
He completed a 2-year fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the U of A Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine, which has achieved international recognition as the leading integrative medical education program in the world.
He has also been trained in Brazil by Cicero Coimbra, MD PhD himself in the Coimbra Protocol, a revolutionary vitamin D therapy used to treat MS and other diseases.
After completing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a double minor in Chemistry and Philosophy at Brigham Young University, Scott went on to attend the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he obtained his M.D.
He served a residency with Scottsdale Healthcare Family Practice, and then entered active duty in the US Air Force, stationed in Los Angeles, CA and then deployed in Iraq. Upon completion of his military tour in 2006, Dr. Jensen and his family returned to Arizona and opened the doors of his medical practice Jensen Family Medicine within a year.
In 2020, Dr. Jensen and his family made the difficult decision to sell the practice and start Jensen Family Wellness, opening a new chapter as a medical consultant, focusing specifically on functional and complementary medicine.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Jensen enjoys spending time at home in the White Mountains with his wife and seven children. He is an avid reader, appreciator of the arts, sports fan, and finance & economics junkie.
